We visited the Waveney Heritage Centre for the Open Day on Easter Sunday.

One of the displays was the BBC 100 Room housing Stuarts Orr's old Radio Norfolk BBC mixing desk. I sat at the desk and pretended to take the controls.

There is also the recreation of a 1930 living room. The wallpaper has been specially printed from an original period design.

Another room houses a collection of old radios and record players. A nostalgic step back for the older and an eye opener for the younger.

There are some paintings by children from the Dickleburgh Primary School as part of their Waveney Valley project. Wonderful images of otters, heron and windmills. Perfectly in alignment with our local Nature Recovery initiative. I hope that we are able to progress our initiative and encourage more towns to join us on the journey.

There were so many things to see, we ended at the collection of childrens' toys, which reminded me of the display in our own Harleston Museum. Our museum will be opening soon, I will let you know the exact dates and displays. Maybe I will see you there when Chris and I are the curators for the day.
