For the last 50 years the local Harold Dean Charitable Trust has occupied the majority of ‘The Ocean’ a series of lakes, on the outskirts of Harleston, developed from local gravel mining. The lakes are available for fishing, sailing and paddle sports.
The owners now wish to sell the property and the Trustees wish to buy. They are applying for grants to enable them to not only continue to provide the leisure facilities, but also to enhance their nature conservation work, and to improve access for appreciation of wildlife.
They are seeking public opinion regarding their ambition. I have given my support. Will you add your support? It only takes a couple of minutes to complete a Google Form: https://forms.gle/oMoCQVxbazu7Livf7. Please also share the link, public support will be important in the grant application.
